1969 Camaro SS Twin Turbo,Supercharged,Nitrous Breathing Monster

I found this car at the all Chevy show in Pigeon Forge Tennessee this week end...The owner Bradley Gray took the time to let me shoot a video of the car and a interview with him...This is by far the most over the top Car I have seen in person...when asked why he built it... he said...Because it was different...lol...that it is Brother...but I love the fact that it has all a Motor can have when it comes to power adders Twin Turbos...a Supercharger..and if you need a little extra to get around traffic...there is also a 200 HP shot of NOS you can fall back on...very cool car...hope you all enjoy the pictures and make sure you check out the feature video on my YouTube Channel ScottieDTV ...thanks again for checking it out

  5. What is the purpose of having all that done to a great car if u don't race it I guess u have more money then brains

  6. Are you all stupid! this is not the owner of the car Scottie is just a Youtube'r and has a show. he is just posting this on his blog for you to enjoy. So as a re-cap.
He does not own the car.
He is only showing you the car that he saw.
He did a video interview with the owner/builder.
Do you all understand now? or is the concept of a featured car on a youtube show just to much for you. Sorry scottie but this was really bothering me.

  8. that is a nice car and yeah, forget the haters scottie. Lol

  9. That car is sick, wish he would have revved it or gotten on it in the video but I can understand why he wouldn't. You don't spend that kind of time and money on a car just to take it out the track and trash it! I'm sure it would be a different story if somebody on the street thought they could outrun it though :)

  10. Wow.. Some people just don't get it do they?! How can anyone say “what's the point/purpose of building a car like this if you're not going to race it??” Owner Bradley Gray said it best without beating around the bush. “Just to build something different.” He's not lying like a lot of these other guys when asked “what do you have under the hood man?” Their replies are usually “Oh, I forget.” Or come up with parts and manufacturers that don't even EXIST! Bradley keeps plain and simple.. “Don't know how much horsepower, DON'T CARE! Don't plan to take it out on the track either.” Sure he may have money to spend and probably more than he knows what to do with it. But you know what? The man is unselfish when it comes to his art cause clearly this masterpiece is for the REST OF US to enjoy! Gorgeous automobile by the way!

Thanks for sharing with us Scottie D.! Keep up the awesome work. Thanks to Bradley Gray as well.

  11. Amazing car and any haters out there just don't understand. This car is art. Some people paint a beautiful painting and hang it on a wall. He painted a beautiful picture that you could drive. For him, it's obviously about the end product and small details and finding how to make it all fit and the process involved to get there. The finished product is just the culmination of the art of conception, fabrication and finish. I'm sure the car can go like a bat out of hell, but that's not the purpose of this car. The owner obviously loves this car and put his heart and soul into it's build. We were lucky enough to have Scottie D. there to allow him to share that experience with us. Great work Scottie!

  12. just get a few guys to push it around the place. why start the fucking thing.... i built one out of cardboard .. you know wot, Im not going to drive it either..

  13. I agree with Bradley, I see cars at the drag strip all the time with not even probably a quarter of the horsepower that thing is putting out, that lose traction half way down the track and in seconds all that work, money, labor, and just plain out a nice car is gone like that! So I can understand his reasonings but like some others said if someone gets frisky out on the highway and thinks they can take that car, I'm sure they would get schooled very quickly lol if I had the money im not gonna lie I would pack as much punch under my hood as possible myself...but thanks for showing us that...i myself have never seen a car with all three of the major power adders under one hood not to mention 2 each of the turbo and nitrous bottles..

  14. With all the curves and turns on those twin turbos, I wonder how much forced air is lost and how much actually gets to the supercharger, seems redundant since the supercharger psi would be higher than the turbos which would render them useless.

    1. Actually, turbo supercharged is called twincharging. The twists in the pipes cause a negligible restriction on airflow. It's all mandrel bent pipe, so it's as good as you're gonna get.

    2. I see what he's saying because the turbo piping seems to enter before the supercharger, it seems like the compressed air would vent to atmosphere making the turbos effectively non functional. I don't see how twin charging would work on this set up unless you were able to seal the turbo intake on top of the supercharger, which would make the big scoop not necessary for this this setup if in fact the turbos do function to provide boost. The turbos probably spool up for dramatic effect rather than provide any boost, obviously I could be wrong, but from the pics that's what it looks like to me.

  15. Makes sense to me that the turbos do add power to the package. Yes, the blower makes more boost than the turbos but, (look again) the blower intake is a virtual wind tunnel that sucks like a vacuum. The butterfly blades, combined with the vacuum effect would not only stop the turbos from blowing their boost forward and out the hat, but the vacuum effect of that big Roots would treat the boost like the rest of the air rushing in. Forced induction is just that..... FORCED induction.

What we don't see is what the inside of that "Bird Catcher" looks like. A simple modification pointing the boost pressure down toward the intake of the Roots blower would solve all of the "non functional" possibilities.

It seems to me that the engine builder would have worked out the "bugs" in the design. I build Forced induction motors for a living and I know that when I come up with an "Experimental for me" design or set up, I spend the time looking at all the possibilities and redundancies and work out the solution. I would venture to guess that this builder has done the same.

At any rate, this motor is a testament to the talent and genius we find in this industry everyday.
Thank you Scottie D for running this one down for us to enjoy..... Even with Ford running through my veins, I find this to be an engineering marvel.

    Peace, Bro

    2. Very nice looking, but I agree with the previous posters about the twin turbo's not really making a difference with the blower. Maybe that's why there's never been a dyno done. Just wondering. Definite eye candy though!!
